1. Course objectives

This course is designed to help students:

  • Revise to use the language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • Revise to write clearly, concisely, and in detail on complex topics, demonstrate the ability to organize texts, make good use of linking words and linking tools in the text.
  • Be guided about tips to achieve high scores in the VLPT.
  • Analyze common mistakes that students often make in previous exams.
  • Be introduced to the exam structure and grading scale for each section.
  • Be instructed on how to properly allocate time for each exam.
  • Focus on practicing two skills of Speaking and Writing which are considered the most difficult in the VLPT.
  • Take sample tests and have teachers give feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of each student.

  • Number of periods: 40 (2 periods/day; 1 month/course)

  • Students who have completed VSL5 (equivalent to 720 periods)
